In our second case in the area of defences, we cover the case of Scarlett, an ex-army landlord who ejects a much larger customer from his premises. Obviously, something goes wrong and the defendant is charged with manslaughter.

The Crown Court found him guilty of the charge, but an appeal is allowed on the grounds that the judge may have misled the jury. What will the Court of Appeal decide?
